    Cohen Day 2 – 07.12.11 and 3rd Acupuncture Session

It’s my 2nd Cohen diet day today. There’s a strong temptation to give up. My breakfast was okay but there’s this resentment building up. I painstakingly finished my lunch. If it’s any consolation, I’m beginning to like my snacks more than my main meals. I have to find a way to stay determined. I figured I should change meals tomorrow. So, instead of tuna, beef and chicken, I’ll be having eggs and shrimps 🙂 Here’s what I had today: 6:30AM Meal 1 – tuna with cabbage + 1 Coke Light + 700ml water 8AM – Acupuncture herbal tea 9:30AM Snack 1 – Skyflakes fit (cracker allowance) + coffee allowance +…

    Yuck!

May I just say that I absolutely love the Cohen diet because I don’t feel deprived at all but the acupuncture herbal tea is totally YUCK. As in YUCK by metes and bounds compared to the other types of tea I didn’t like. I don’t like the smell, the taste, the color, and the lumpy texture. I don’t like everything about it. I super can’t stand it anymore, I’ll just…

    Acupuncture – Second Session

My second acupuncture treatment was last July 5 at 3:15pm. I actually got there on time and didn’t have to wait for my turn as there was already a vacant cubicle. As with the first session, Sr. Regina Liu asked me to stick my tongue out. She asked if I already had my period and I said no. She asked how my sleep was after the acupuncture and I confirmed that I’ve been able to sleep well. Thing is, I’m not a sound sleeper and I blame it on pillows. We already got Tempur, memory pillows, feather pillows, name it. The last one I got was a spa pillow from…

    Hello Needles!

I read somewhere that acupuncture is a great way to treat stress-related headaches/migraines, hair loss, and back pain. Also, I heard that acupuncture treatment at least three months before a fertility workup greatly improves the chances of conceiving. Thus, I said goodbye to my fear of needles and scheduled an appointment with an acupuncturist. My first visit was last Tuesday (June 28) and the acupuncturist is Sr. Regina Liu who’s famous for helping couples conceive. photo from http://ofknivesandpen.blogspot.com The acupuncture clinic is located at No. 19 Panay Avenue within the compound of the Missionary Sisters of the Immaculate Conception of the Mother of God. As compared to Western medicine which…
