My Strawberry-Banana Split

The original version I made was a strawberry banana trifle. However, a little tweak here and there can result to an entirely new but equally delicious dessert! It’s a good way to create something good out of your leftovers, too 😛


So here’s what you’ll need:

  • Vanilla Ice Cream
  • 275 grams All-Purpose cream
  • 6 tbsp. sour cream
  • 120 grams condensed milk
  • 2 tbsp. strawberry jam
  • Fresh strawberries, sliced
  • Fresh bananas, sliced
  • Lady fingers, crumbled
  • Corn Flakes
  • Strawberry wafer sticks

Simply mix the all-purpose cream, sour cream, condensed milk and strawberry jam until the mixture is smooth and creamy. This will serve as your filling. Crumble the lady fingers at the bottom of your serving glass to serve as the base or crust. Top it with the cream filling. Line the sides of the glass with halved strawberries. Next, add the bananas and fill it in the middle of the glass. Do as many layers as you like by starting all over again with the crumbled lady fingers.

For the topping, put a scoop of vanilla ice cream, let it melt a bit so it blends with the cream filling, then top it off with cornflakes and strawberries. Further decorate with strawberry wafer sticks.
