Strawberry Picking At Kam Tin Country Club Hong Kong

I looked online for kid-friendly places in Hong Kong but I wanted something other than Disneyland Hong Kong or Ocean Park. I came across several options like Ryze Ultimate Trampoline Park, the Hello Kitty Go Green Organic Farm, Noah’s Ark, and several places where kids can pick strawberries like Tai Tong Organic Farm, Mapopo Community Farm, Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden, Rainbow Strawberry Farm, and Kam Tin Country Club. I wish we had more time to stay in Hong Kong but given that we’re there for one weekend only, I needed to choose just one. And I chose Kam Tin Country Club because based on my research, it looks like…

10th Anniversary Dinner at L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon HK

Since it opened in 2006, the year we got married, I have already dreamed of dining at L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon with my hubby. Joel Robuchon has more than a dozen restaurants operating in London, Paris, Las Vegas, Tokyo, Singapore and Hong Kong, to name a few, and with a total of 25 Michelin stars among them. He is that guy who has  has the most number of Michelin stars among all chefs! Thus, I was beyond thrilled when hubby told me that for our 10th anniversary, we’ll be flying to Hong Kong to have dinner at L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon. We love eating at fancy restaurants but we have…

Hong Kong Airport Express and Klook

For our 10th wedding anniversary, hubby gifted me a romantic and gastronomic experience at L’Atelier De Joel Robuchon. But instead of just flying to Hong Kong for the dinner, I decided to book a 4 days/3nights trip with my son, the nanny, and my mom and dad. Our itinerary was rather simple: Dinner at L’Atelier De Joel Robuchon (just me and hubby) Strawberry picking at Kam Tin Country Club Toy Storyland at Disneyland Hong Kong I will have separate posts for each. Here, I will just talk about the airport express and a discovery that I wanted to keep for myself but have decided to share with you because I…

Our Baby's First Time in Hong Kong Disneyland

We brought our baby to Hong Kong Disneyland about two weeks after he turned 1. By then, we was not yet walking, was on mixed formula and fresh whole milk, was starting to eat solids without restrictions, and definitely not yet potty trained. Due to health constraints which disallowed me from doing strenuous activities like carrying heavy things, making drastic physical movements, and having lack of sleep, my husband and I decided to bring our nanny along. So if you wanna travel with kids, with or without a nanny, please read on as I share a few of things that I learned on our first out of the country trip…

New Yummy Discoveries in Hong Kong

The first order of business as soon as we arrived was lunch 🙂 Crystal Jade in Harbour City was the first option but the queue was really long. Thus, we just went straight to the food court called City Super. I didn’t like City Super in Times Square and I wasn’t excited having to hit it again for lunch. But then, I found this stall that sells ramen, barbecue rice, and canned soda for only HK$68 [roughly US$9]. Considering that I’m still on the Cohen diet and I’d only be sipping the broth, the whole meal was ideal for me and hubby. I know that this isn’t exactly what a…

Hong Kong Again! New Discoveries in Hong Kong & Macau.

Hello friends! I know I keep telling this every time I post but I swear, I am so swamped lately. Anyhoo, I managed to squeeze in a weekend for an out of the country trip and guess where! Of course, Hong Kong! If you remember, I was in Hong Kong for a post-Christmas trip with my in-laws last December. Last weekend, I went back to Hong Kong but this time with my hubby, my parents who celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary, and my cousins. I love discovering things in Hong Kong and that is why I love to go there at least twice a year. Some friends would react, “HK…

Next Time You’re In Hong Kong and Macau…

HONG KONG If it’s your first time in Hong Kong, you probably will be having your complimentary City tour and then go check out Victoria Peak, Ocean Park, Hong Kong Disneyland and maybe take a tram to cross borders and head to Shenzhen, China. If you’ve been there before, you probably will think that you’ve seen everything in Hong Kong and won’t be doing anything but shop. Actually, there’s a lot of things to do in Hong Kong and even if I go there almost every year, I’d say I’ll be coming back over and over again to discover new things. So, the next time you’re in Hong Kong… 1)…

Food Trippin’ in Hongkong: TAI CHEONG BAKERY

After a million discussions with taxi drivers that eventually ended up with a raise in my blood pressure… after an outburst and an almost-imminent altercation with some rude people who didn’t care to help us with directions despite showing them the name of the street in Chinese characters… and after a long, tiring and futile search for the elusive Gough Street… we fortunately found ourselves locating one of the things I listed in our must-visits. I don’t want to write exactly how I felt during that time when we were looking for Gough Street because I might end up saying something really bad. I’m still reminded by this blogging etiquette…

Food Trippin’ in Hongkong: FOOD REPUBLIC

On our way to Lantau Island to visit the Tian Tan Buddha, we stopped by for lunch at Food Republic in Citygate Outlets, Tung Chung. Food Republic is a food court chain run by the BreadTalk Group based in Singapore. The concept combines local hawker fare with mini restaurants in an open dining concept. As with the other food courts, it can get really rowdy during lunch breaks. When we went there, it was so hard finding a seat. After a while, we spotted some free seats but there was no one near enough to clean the table. We had to clean the table ourselves just so we can eat 🙁 There…
