2018 Spring Specials Roundup
It’s Spring Time in South Korea! I can still remember my trip last year which was a little late for the spring festivals, but still very much within the season for which I luckily had the chance to catch the spring flowers in full bloom, especially the tulips in Everland. Seoul is beautiful all year round, and that’s a given. But thanks to spring and its comfortingly cool weather, Seoul becomes a great place for couples, friends, and families, to experience the outdoors. It is also during spring when a wide array of festivals and events celebrating the season happen throughout the country. I have carefully picked the best of…

Heart and Seoul 2014 – Cherry Blossoms in Nami Island
This is part of a series of posts under the category Heart and Seoul 2014. Even if I have already visited Nami Island in 2012, my second visit last April was nothing less spectacular or memorable. I had the time of my life being back there, seeing new things, and re-discovering the old ones with my hubby and baby. In fact, I made sure our family had a picture at the exact same spot I had one in 2012. And yes, we had to be in matchy-matchy attire! For this post, I would just like to focus on the cherry blossoms because as I mentioned earlier, the theme of our…

[Seoul Series] Day 2: Nami Island / Naminara Republic
I’m back after a long break! I know that I have this huge backlog on posts about my trip to Seoul last March and I’m actually thinking of whether to write about Nami Island and if so, what to write about it. Thing is, most blogs you will read out there only have a thing or two to say about Nami Island and the common one they would say is that it is the filming location for the Winter Sonata, a famous Korean drama. My fear is that if I write about Nami Island, I’m just going to say the same thing, i.e., it is where the Winter Sonata was…

Seoul Itinerary for 5 Days / 4 Nights
As promised, I’m sharing our itinerary for 5 days/4 nights in Seoul. Just want to tell you in advance that I went to Seoul with my husband and our family. We’re 12 in the group with 5 people just around my age and 7 senior citizens. Had I traveled with my husband alone (we will definitely go back there on our own), our itinerary would have been a more taxing one but definitely budget-friendly. Overall though, given our group demographics and physical considerations, I would have to say that we pretty much covered a good number of tourist attractions but just so you know, the itinerary I’m sharing might not…
