Seoulful Encounters [Busan/Seoul 2017] – Family Fun Day at Everland thru Trazy.com
Last April 24, my husband, 4 year old son, mom, dad, and I were able to visit Everland through the blogger sponsorship program of Trazy.com. It was such a great privilege to be sponsored to enjoy the world’s 4th biggest theme park – something that I have always wanted to experience along with my family. Trazy.com, a play with the words “travel” and “crazy”, is a one-stop travel booking site where you can easily find the latest, trendiest, and newest things to do in Korea at the best price – from travel activities, tours, performance and concert tickets, and even passes to beauty make-up experiences. Everything you need to know…

Seoulful Encounters [Busan/Seoul 2017] – 10 Days in Busan and Seoul Spring Itinerary
About a year or two ago, when we were talking about how we wanted to celebrate our respective 40th birthdays, my husband asked if I wanted to do a Europe tour, or visit the US again, or maybe throw a party. I said I just wanted a low-key celebration and a solo trip to Seoul to spend at least 2 weeks there and enjoy the place at my own sweet pace. Now, I finally just concluded my 10-day trip to Busan and Seoul. It’s the first time I traveled without my husband and son and while I frequently found myself being homesick and missing them during the first 6 days,…

Heart and Seoul 2014 – Bukchon, Insadong, Gwanghwamun, Cheonggyecheon, Hongdae and Hello Kitty Cafe
*This is part of a series of posts under the category Heart and Seoul 2014. We visited several areas of interest in the Gwanghwamun area on our last day in Seoul and every place was just within walking distance from each other. We started walking from 126 Mansion to Bukchon Hanok Village. We followed the “Bukchon 8 Views” map and were lucky to take photos in 6/8 of those views. Not bad, eh? 🙂 From Bukchon, we walked all the way to Insadong with a few stopovers like at the O’Sulloc Tea House and Ssamzie-gil. Then we walked through the end of Insadong street towards Cheonggye Plaza, the start of…

Heart and Seoul 2014 – N Seoul Tower via the Namsan Cable Car
There are different ways to reach N Seoul Tower. Back in 2012 during my first time in Seoul, I went to N Seoul Tower via a regular taxi. We were dropped off at something that looked like a huge bus stop. From there, we painstakingly hiked up to the foot of the tower. Hiking for couch potatoes like me is a real struggle. I remember running out of breath by the time I had a view of the ticketing office. And even for those with regular exercise, hiking will still be a bit of an effort because the road is too steep. Imagine how amazed we were to see Korean…

Heart and Seoul 2014 – Palm Sunday at the Myeongdong Cathedral
If you’re a Catholic and you’re in Seoul, you may want to know that there’s an English Mass celebrated at the Myeongdong Cathedral every Sunday at 9AM. The Myeongdong Catholic Cathedral is a beautiful structure made with bricks of different colors and shapes, and because it is a symbol for Myeongdong, is frequently visited by tourists. We attended the Palm Sunday celebration at the Myeongdong Cathedral and we fell in love with their culture, their discipline, and how they celebrate Mass in general.

Heart and Seoul 2014 – Gyeongbokgung Palace and National Folk Museum of Korea v.2
This is part of a series of posts under the category Heart and Seoul 2014. This will just be a photo-heavy post because I have written about Gyeongbokgung or Gyeongbok Palace in a previous post. For me, nothing much has changed since I visited in 2012 except that the free hanbok booth is now located near the Gwanghwamun Gate just opposite the ticket counter. Same as in 2012, we witnessed the changing of the guards, we wore hanboks, and explored the palace. We also dropped by the National Folk Museum of Korea which is connected to the palace grounds. Since the palace was just a walking distance from 126 Mansion…

[Seoul Series] Day 5: Bukchon Hanok Village and Samcheong-dong Walkway
As I said in a previous post, one of the things I love about 126 Mansion is that it is just within the vicinity of Bukchon Hanok Village and Samcheong-dong Walkway. The neighborhood is swamped with art galleries, local shops, restaurants and cafes. The vibe there is fresh, hip and artsy, and I love it!

[Seoul Series] Day 4: Myeongdong, Myeongdong Cathedral, and NANTA Show
One of the best places to shop cosmetics and clothes would probably be Myeongdong. Many brand name shops and department stores can be found in this shopping district. Unlike Dongdaemun or Namdaemun, many designer brands are sold in Myeongdong. Here, you can also find Shinsegae, Migliore, and M Plaza. There are also lots of restaurants, fast food, and street food. You’ll never get hungry in Myeongdong! But aside from all these, there’s also the Myeongdong Catholic Church which has become a famous tourist attraction.
