Creamy Chicken Spaghetti With Carrots and Cauliflower
I haven’t been cooking much lately. I’m busy at work and with PinoyFoodista and I feel like I’m not touching base enough with this blog and my blogger friends š I promise that as soon as PinoyFoodista is stable (shouldn’t take that long, I hope), I’ll be more visible again š So, in one of those rare instances that I find time to cook, I made something easy out of what I already have in the kitchen. I call it Creamy Chicken Spaghetti with Carrots and Cauliflower. The dish is as literal as its name š

Spaghetti con Gamberetti e Rucola
This is the second recipe installment for my entry to Foodbuzz’s 24×24 this November. For my Thanksgiving dinner called “Beyond Turkey, A Modern Thanksgiving Dinner,” I served perfect roasted chicken and pasta in lieu of the traditional turkey. I initially wanted to serve the food lauriat-syle because it gives a sense of being a one big united family. Besides, it’s fun having to pass the dishes around. However, due to table-size limitations, I had to improvise and make use of a separate buffet table. The recipe is originally from Jamie Oliver and I particularly love it because of the great combination of flavors. You got tomatoes, chilies, shrimps, cheese and…

Spaghetti Alla Carbonara Di Salsiccia
This dish is patterned from and inspired by Jamie Oliver’s Linguine Alla Carbonara Di Salsiccia. As much as I wanted to stick to the recipe strictly, IĀ was constrained to make a few adjustments. It’s not everyday that I can find good quality sweet Italian sausages and pancetta.Ā IĀ Filipinized the dish by using ingredients that are easy to find locally. For my version of this pasta dish, I used spaghetti instead of linguine,Ā and longganiza and ordinary bacon to substitute for the salsiccia and pancetta, respectively. It’s a crazy delicious dish notwithstanding the substitutions. It’s very easy to make and is guaranteed to impress your guests. Anything from Jamie…

Fresh Tomato Sauce
I am so excited about this recipe! š See, I have this September 2007 issue of Everyday Food by Martha Stewart and I had it with me since, right, 2007. I can’t remember now who gave it to me but I remember vividly that it was supposed to get me started into cooking. And because I wasn’t cooking back then, I didn’t actually care about what’s inside. Today, I skipped lunch at work and felt really hungry by the time I got home. With some spaghetti in our pantry (we have lots of spaghetti, trust me), I decided to make another pasta dish for dinner. Okay, so I picked up…

Tuna Pesto and Green Peas Spaghetti
I’ve been wanting to make a tagliatelle pasta dish but as always, I can’t find the kind of pasta here or maybe I’m not looking at the right places. Soon, I’ll be able to discover a really good store that sells everything I need š For now, I settled with my handy-dandy spaghetti that’s been resting in our pantry for a short while. I had to improvise for this dish but surprisingly, it turned out well. I love it with a glass of uber cold Pandan Iced Tea. Here are the ingredients:
