    Food Trippin’ in Hongkong: FOOD REPUBLIC

    On our way to Lantau Island to visit the Tian Tan Buddha, we stopped by for lunch at Food Republic in Citygate Outlets, Tung Chung. Food Republic is a food court chain run by the BreadTalk Group based in Singapore. The concept combines local hawker fare with mini restaurants in an open dining concept. As with the other food courts, it can get really rowdy during lunch breaks. When we went there, it was so hard finding a seat.     Hong Kong is just less than two hours flight from Manila and is often visited by Filipinos for a quick getaway and in my case, some retail therapy.
