The Pancake Epidemic Seoul

The Pancake Epidemic, a creative agency in Los Angeles, California, launched its first flagship café in Apgujeong-dong. The Pancake Epidemic Los Angeles (TPE L.A.) was originally a by-invitation only gathering spot but TPE Seoul is a coffee bar that is open to the public.

The Pancake Epidemic Seoul (TPE Seoul) will house some of the best coffee equipment (think Mahlkonig and La Marzocco), a pop-up barbershop, and custom merchandise.

The head barista also confirmed that TPE Seoul will be pouring brews crafted from the beans supplied by the famous artisanal Stumptown Coffee Roasters. This is the very first time that Stumptown will be a regular supplier to a café in Korea.

Espresso-based drinks and cold-brews will be made from Stumptown’s famous Hair Bender blend while the single-origins are prepared with a Chemex Coffeemaker.

The most popular single-origin beans are Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Chelbessa and Honduras Finca El Puente. And because their name is Pancake Epidemic, they will be launching their pancakes soon – in original and cinnamon flavors.

The Pancake Epidemic Seoul is at 2F, 645-24 Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-Gu, Seoul and is open daily from 10am to 11pm.

Coffee and espresso drinks cost around 4,500-9,000krw while beans cost somewhere between 30,000-52,000krw.
